Symptoms (some or all of the following can occur)
Bloated calf (generally less than 3 months old), diarrhea, lethargic, “watery” belly (belly seems full of fluid on the bottom), sudden death
NOTE: Most Clostridial infections occur in the first three weeks of age.
Medications (based on 100# calf):
10 cc Aqueous Penicillin orally once/day for three days
10 cc Aqueous Penicillin SQ once/day for three days

Contracted Uterus: 10 cc IV
C-Section: 5 cc IV
I used the 10 cc dose IV on a heifer with a dry uterus and it helped for about one hour and then I repeated it again with no problems.
